Do, or Do Not, there is NO TRY

Master Yoda trained me in the ways of the Force. OK, maybe he didn't, because he is both a fictional character and a puppet, and the last time I tried a Jedi Mind Trick, it didn't go over so well. But he is not without wisdom.

The point is this; when Yoda tells Luke in Empire Strikes Back, "Do or do not, there is no try," he is teaching a valuable lesson. Luke is attempting to lift his X-Wing Starfighter (yes, I am a Star Wars geek) out of a bog, and he fails, sighing and saying,"it's too big."

Yoda then proceeds to lift the Starfighter out of the water, setting in on the ground next to Luke.

Luke responds, "I don't believe it," to which Yoda replies:

"That is why you fail."

Whats the lesson? So often we don't accomplish things we because we expect to fail. In reality, we are capable of far more than we would like to believe. Our bodies are amazing machines. Our minds are bound only by our imagination. Set your goals high. Believe it, and you can achieve it. That is the absolute truth. The biggest obstacle to success is YOU.
